Anita Crutchfield, APRN, FNP-BC, joins Abbeville General as a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner in the Women’s Health of Vermilion Clinic, bringing with her 23 years of nursing experience.
Anita graduated from Delgado/Charity Hospital School of Nursing in May of 1995. In 2007, she earned a Master’s Degree in the Science of Nursing from LSUHSC in New Orleans, Louisiana and a certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Anita states, “Most of my career has focused on the care of women and I continue to find joy in sharing in the birth process with my patients.
My parents were allied health professionals in the military and their influence instilled in me a natural affinity to serve others as a health care provider. Although I am grateful to have successfully “weathered” the storm of Hurricane Katrina, my proudest accomplishment has been helping to shape the character of my two wonderful daughters.
My professional, academic and personal experiences have taught me the importance of maintaining a positive outlook and showing kindness to others. These simple but important principles have been key in forming lasting new relationships while appreciating the bond of old ones. I am happy to join this team with Abbeville General Hospital and Clinics and look forward to working with many new comrades.”
